Joe Perkins is a Landscape Architect and founder of his studio in Hove, East Sussex, with over twenty years of involvement at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and experience as an RHS Judge in training. He was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2025 show for ‘Seeding Success’, following earlier Gold Medals in 2019 and 2022, as well as international recognition at the Shenzhen Flower Show in 2023. With nearly three decades in garden design, Joe focuses on how thoughtfully designed landscapes can improve lives, enhance wellbeing, and address environmental challenges.
He works with organisations including the National Trust, most notably designing Garden for the Future at the Grade I–listed Sheffield Park and Garden, a project exploring climate resilience, accessibility, and the role of nature in supporting wellbeing. Joe is also collaborating with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission on international initiatives to reduce water use across European, Mediterranean, and North African sites through resilient, drought-tolerant planting—supporting a wider commitment to sustainable, long-lasting landscapes.
