Mike Edwards (PhD) has over 30 years’ experience as a sustainability consultant and climate change advisor. He has worked for a number of NGOs including The Elders Foundation where, as Climate Change Advisor, he supported the climate change work of Gro Harlem Brundtland, Kofi Annan and President Jimmy Carter amongst others. In addition to his work as Chief Listening Officer (CLO) at Sound Matters - where he is currently exploring the concept of Sonic Rewilding - Mike also runs ‘Resonance Retreats’ and continues to lecture both in the UK and overseas. Mike is also a musician and is considered one of the world’s most accomplished didgeridoo players having performed at festivals around the world and having released four CDs to international acclaim. His first book, Soundscapes of Life – Deep Listening to the World Around Us, will be published by Routledge in early 2026.
