Philippa is a highly experienced public spaces manager, with 23 years experience in parks and green spaces - working for a range of organisations including Municipal, District and Borough Councils as well as the Social Housing sector and NGO’s.

Now working for the National Trust, Philippa is leading the way with her team on how we manage curated woodland gardens facing into our changing climate. Defining policy, procedure and working within the science available to support this.

 As the lead officer for blue and green assets working with Greater Manchester’s Social Housing providers, Philippa brought the first Green Flag Award within this sector to the North of England, and only the second within the whole country.

 As well as being a guest lecturer at Manchester University for future planners and environmental managers, she worked closely with the university and the Mayors team in the delivery of the 1st Green Summit within Greater Manchester. This commitment to parks a green space over nearly two decades led to Philippa receiving an invite to Buckingham Palace as part of 'service to the environment’.

Philippa is a Green Flag Award judge and has judged extensively throughout England as well as in the Netherlands, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Portugal for various cities.
