ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
We’ve tried to cover all the main questions you might ask below. We’ll keep updating this section as we get closer to the Conference.
VISITING

A: Both days take place at University Place, 176 Oxford Rd, Manchester, M13 9PL.

A: The exact start and finish times will be confirmed when we announce the full programme of speakers, but it is provisionally 10am-6pm on the Thursday and 9am-4pm on the Friday.

A: The Conference is fully accessible to wheelchair users, with a lift from the Ground Floor to Level 1 for the Conference Theatre, and level access to the auditorium.
Please let us know in advance if you have any specific access requirements, or if you have any questions or concerns.
Please advise the team on the Welcome Desk if you require any particular assistance on the day.
TICKETS

A: No, tickets are only available to buy in advance.

A: We are only selling tickets for both days, as we strongly believe the Conference is a communal event with ideas and evidence best shared over the whole event. The Conference has been designed to provide a crescendo of interest, ideas and evidence over two days.

A: Seating in the Conference Theatre is not reserved. There will be plenty of space available.

A: Yes, all talks will take place in the Conference Theatre, and will be programmed so everyone can see every minute.

A: The Conference is only available to watch live and in person.

A: Tickets are non-refundable unfortunately.

A: Yes, your ticket can be transferred to a friend or family member – but please let us know this is happening via the contact form with a new name the booking should be under.
It is strictly forbidden to re-sell your ticket.
PROGRAMME

A: We will continue to update the website with new speakers and will post updates on our social media channels. The full programme will be confirmed in the Autumn.

A: It’s possible that we will need to make changes to the programme due to matters outside our control, and will let you know of any changes as soon as we are able to.
FOOD AND DRINK

A: Included with the price of your ticket are:
A cup of tea and coffee on arrival, mid-morning and mid-afternoon each day
A two-course buffet lunch each day (drink not included)
Drinks reception with speakers and fellow guests on the first evening (two drinks per person – wine/beer/soft drink)

A: The University of Manchester is providing the catering for the Conference. They are committed to offering food that is produced, processed and traded in ways that:

A: There will be vegetarian and vegan options for the buffet lunch each day.
If you have any other specific dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know via the contact form and we will do our best to accommodate you.

A: The Place Café, which is connected to University Place, will be selling drinks and snacks. Otherwise we will not be selling food and drink on site. There is a wide selection of cafés and restaurants within a few minutes of University Place should you wish to buy anything additional.

A: Yes you can, although the price of the ticket will remain the same.
Food is not allowed inside the Conference hall.
We would encourage you to bring your own water bottle, which can be re-filled on site.

A: Yes, you will be able to re-fill water bottles.
ACCOMMODATION

A: We do not recommend any specific accommodation, but within walking distance of University Place is accommodation and local hotels to suit all budgets.
ANYTHING ELSE

A: We’d recommend that no one below the age of 16 attends.

A: We would recommend you bring a reusable water bottle with you. Beyond that, you might wish to bring your phone, tablet, computer, or a good old-fashioned pen and notebook.

A: Yes, WiFi is available throughout the building.

A: We will not be selling any merchandise at the Conference.
