Why give?

Help the next generation of rewilders find their footing. Sponsor a student’s ticket and let new voices shape the future of wild gardens.

Supporting our future gardeners
Wilding Gardens operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC), a special type of social enterprise designed to benefit the community. As a CIC, any surplus we earn is reinvested into furthering our mission: encouraging biodiversity, sustainable gardening, and open dialogue around rewilding practices. This structure ensures our work remains focused on serving the public good and nurturing a more resilient, ecologically balanced future.

We are seeking donations to help offer free tickets to those who wish to attend the Conference but are unable to do so, with a particular focus on students in higher education.

Thank you for considering donating. Many aspiring rewilders — students and practitioners just starting out — struggle to afford full-price tickets to events like ours. By sponsoring a free ticket, you’re giving someone with fresh ideas and big dreams the chance to be part of the conversation. You can donate through JustGiving via the button below. Alternatively, you can post us a cheque made out to Wilding Gardens CIC and sent to our address at the bottom of this page. Thank you again.

how to donate

Free tickets are specifically for students in full-time education and over the age of 18, undertaking environmental or land-based studies in higher education settings. Please click below if you’d like to apply - applications are open until 1 October 2025. Please note due to the high volume of applications we expect to receive, we cannot guarantee a free ticket.

Giving FAQs

  • Your donation will go to Wilding Gardens CIC. Every contribution directly supports concessionary tickets, helping students and practitioners attend who might not otherwise be able to afford it.

  • No - we are very grateful to receive any donation of whatever size. If you’d like to cover the cost of one ticket, it is £220, the equivalent of the price of a standard ticket.

  • We are aiming to raise £4,400 to cover the cost of 20 standard tickets.

  • If we don’t reach our fundraising target, every donation still helps more individuals attend the current event - we’ll allocate donated funds towards reducing ticket prices for as many eligible attendees as possible.

  • If we raise more than we need for the Conference, we’ll reinvest any excess funds in making the event a biannual gathering, continuing to provide subsidised tickets to nurture the next generation of rewilders.

  • Yes. After the event, we’ll share updates, including the number of free tickets provided, attendee feedback, and the progress made toward hosting future biannual events.

  • As a Community Interest Company (CIC), we’re not a registered charity, so your donation may not qualify for standard charitable tax relief. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance on your specific situation.

  • Currently, we pool all donations to ensure broad access and to keep the process fair and transparent. We do not match individual donors to individual recipients.

  • With enough support, we plan to transition from a one-time event to a biannual conference. Your donations can help lay the groundwork for these future gatherings, increasing opportunities for even more aspiring rewilders.

  • We value your privacy and generosity. While we don’t publicly list donors, we’re happy to send a personal acknowledgment of your support. If recognition is important to you, please contact us to discuss options.
